Everyone Needs a Gentle Guiding Hand..Like my Brother Did For Me
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

Browsing through the pages of my memories as I was growing up, I recall my brother Barry, whom was not only a father to me but also a magnificent mentor and guide. I laughed, cried, sang, and learned very valuable lessons from him. I learned love, hope joy, hope, togetherness, friendship, sharing, and how to question, challenge and take action when things didn't always turn out the way I thought they should have, out in the world around me. When I couldn't take specific action, he helped guide me towards achieving it. Not by actually doing it for me, but showing and guiding me towards options that I could achieve. This taught me invaluable lessons, that helped to shape and mold my character and the very fabric of my soul. I was able to achieve my goals, hopes and realise my dreams through acceptance, love, guidance, understanding, sharing and caring. Even when I thought at times that things wouldn't work out as I had wished they would, he was always there to guide me through even the most diifficult moments. Growing up isn't an easy task, believe me, I speak from experience. And I will always remember he was there when I needed a hand, to help make the big bad world, seem a much more beautiful place. Even today, now I am a little older and hopefully wiser, I still can recall his gentle guidance, if things seem a bit out of hand and I am feeling like I am losing my place in the world. To me he is a guiding angel, always looking over my shoulder, and gently helping me through todays' fearful, strange, uncaring world. Everyone is in need of a helping hand, like my brother did for me. No-one is too young, no-one is too old to help and guide, or to need help and guidance in some way or another in todays' world. I hope that there are more people like my brother, willing to lend a guiding hand. To care. To share. To guide to take Action. To inspire to achieve the seemingly unreachable star.
